We build obedience, reliable handling, retrieving and steadiness with the individual dog in mind. A young dog needs confidence and clear expectations. A developing dog needs repetition in different places. A finished dog needs those skills to hold up around birds, guns and other dogs.

We do not rush a puppy because a social media clip shows another dog ahead. We focus on a solid first year, then keep building. Many good dogs reveal their full potential at two or three years of age.
